May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His last and final Messenger Muhammad(SAW)
Asalamu Alaykum(Peace be upon you)

The topic I have chosen for today is laziness and procrastination. Laziness and procrastination can take over your life and can keep you from being the best person you can be. In matters of religion it can become the reason we don't do good deeds and we start doing our obligatory deeds in a mediocre way. 

There is a dua that our beloved prophet Muhammad(SAW) used to make:

‘O Allaah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.’

Below I will post an uplifting and inspiring lecture by Abu Usamah At Thahabi on this topic.

 I'm introducing a wonderful sheikh to you guys today. I really admire him and enjoy his lectures and speeches. I hope you will feel the same after listening to some his lectures.
Nouman Ali Khan is an American Muslim speaker and founder, CEO and lead instructor at The Bayyinah Institute for Arabic and Qur'anic Studies. Nouman Ali Khan founded Bayyinah in 2006. His current residence is in Dallas, Texas. He also lectures internationally on the matters of Tafsir and learning Arabic to understand the Quran. He has been named one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.

Asalamu Alaykum (Peace be upon you).

Brothers and sisters we are in the final days of the first ten days of dhul hijjah. Tommorrow is the day of Arafah and is one of the most blessed days of the year. The Day of Arafah is the day where the Hajj goers stand at Arafah and supplicate and praise Allah and it is the day before Eid-ul-Adha. It is recommended that we make dua and fast on that day as told to use by our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAWS).

Abu Hafsah May Allah be pleased with him reported that the prophet (SAWS) said: "fasting the day of Arafah expiates the sins for two years, the previous year and the coming year..."
